Industry Certification In Contract Management – Federal

What is the ICCM–F?

The Industry Certification in Contract Management – Federal (ICCM–F) is a certification awarded by the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) that parallels the Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC–C). The formal education, experience, and specialized training required are the same for the ICCM–F and for FAC–C.

Notice to All ICCM-F Candidates

As of October 1, 2014, the training requirements for the ICCM-F program were updated. If you began your level I, II or III training prior to that date, you will have until September 30, 2015 to complete all legacy requirements and be credited under the current program. If you started taking training classes after October 1, 2014, you are required to meet the new training requirements. Those requirements are listed under the “ICCM-F Refresh” link to the left.

What is the level of education required to become certified?

Depending on the level sought, a bachelors degree or at least 24 semester hours or a bachelors degree and at least 24 semester hours among these topic areas: accounting, business, contracts, economics, finance, industrial management, law, marketing, purchasing, quantitative methods, and organization and management.

Who is eligible to apply for the ICCM–F certification?

The ICCM–F certifications are open to any qualified contracting professional who is not eligible for FAC–C due to current employment.

The ICCM-Federal certification requirements mirror those of the Federal Acquisition Institute’s Federal Acquisition Certification-Contracting (FAC-C) certification program. While FAC-C is awarded only by non-Department of Defense agencies to their employees, the ICCM-Federal is available through NCMA to private sector employees and non-federal public sector employees who meet all the required education, experience, and training prerequisites for the level of certification sought (Level I, II, or III).
