“Contracts Success in a World of VUCA, with a Focus on Commercial Items — a benefit to Programs, Primes, Warfighter, & the Taxpayer!”

Please join both Russ Blaine, Executive Director, Acquisition Policy & Compliance , with Raytheon Technologies’ Corporate Office of the General Counsel, and Elizabeth Sheard, Director of Government Contracts, of the Collins Contracts organization to discuss these two amazing topics!

Contract success in a world of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) is challenging. Russ Blaine kicks off the discussion about the current environment of Acquisition/Procurement/Sales and how contract managers can adopt several practices to increase innovation, improve probability of successful contract fulfillment, and posture effectively for future success.

Elizabeth will then review our current environment from her perspective, cover the latest “acquisition buzzwords”, a re-focus on buy America, post COVID recovery efforts across all industries. She will explain what kind of real world benefits that commercial item contracting offers to all parties in the government acquisition environment as well as lessens the barriers to bring in new participants.
